Das Weihnachtskonzert mit dem Musikverein Steinberg-Dörfl war wieder erwartungsgemäß ein Ohrenschmaus, umso mehr als diesmal für die Frauen dieser Welt und gegen Gewalt an Frauen gespielt wurde. Weiters ging ein Großteil der Einnahmen an die Hinterbliebenen von Michael "Muck" Schermann - ER RUHE IN FRIEDEN

A beautiful church with an amazing alter piece and a beautiful and interesting crypt, specially when you read the history of the church. It was surprisingly beautiful.

The foundation stone of the church was laid on July 2, 1656. The builder was Count Franz Nādasdy, the owner of the Lockenhaus estate. The master builder was a young Italian, Pietro Orsolini. The nave is 18 meters high, the tower 57.5 meters. The architectural style is Baroque, the church entrance is still in the Renaissance style. During construction, the two side walls developed cracks and construction was halted for several years. The church was not consecrated until September 15, 1669.

The altarpiece above the high altar was created by the Güns painter Kēry and shows the two patron saints of the church: St. Nicholas of Myra, Bishop, and St. Nicholas of Tolentino, Monk. The high altar is crowned by the Lockenhaus miraculous image of "The Mother of Good Counsel." On the south wall of the presbytery hang two oil paintings from the mid-17th century. The two saints have the facial features of Franz Nādasy and his wife Anna Julian Esterhāzy. The jewel of the church is the Baroque Marian altar. It shows the Mother of God as "Magna Mater Hungarie" in Hungarian coronation robes as the victor over the Turks.

The small chapel above the sacristy was the prayer choir of the Augustinian monks who administered the Lockenhaus parish from 1656 to 1820. The monastery was the spiritual center of the entire area and was dissolved during the Josephinian reforms.

The crypt was the burial place of the Nādasdy family. The statue of the Mother of God on the altar is particularly revered. The unfortunate builder of the church rests with his wife in the red marble sarcophagus. He was beheaded in Vienna on April 30, 1671.

In the tomb opposite rest the ancestor Palatine Thomas Nādasdy and his wife Ursula Kanizsay.

The fathers and brothers of the Augustinian Hermits rest in the walls of the crypt.

The church was renovated between 1979 and 1995.

Церковь в небольшом городке, отмечали 350 лет со дня основания фестивалем камерной музыки. Просто потрясающе! Великолепная акустика, роскошное убранство, заинтересованная публика, интересная программа концерта. А какая колокольня! Не поднимались, но вид шикарный!
